Keshvariye bathroom

About Keshvariye bathroom

A part of Oudlajan neighborhood, which is called Sarchal, has been the residence of the Kilimians of Tehran since ancient times, and the Kishorieh bath was opened in this part of Tehran in 1947. Before the establishment of Hammam Kishorieh, Oudlajan neighborhood had three special baths for Jews, namely "Zakhroon" bath near Ezra Yaqoub Synagogue, "Esau" bath in Serchal and "Hakim Bashi" or "Ishaq" bath near Takiya Reza Qali Khan. Today, there are no traces of these three baths left, and the Kishorieh bath is the only one in Oudlajan, which with its interesting history has remained in the heart of one of the most historical and important neighborhoods of Tehran.
